PETROS was registered as "tank barge" in the Piraeus riverine shipping register as # 35. She was owned by Othon Kallinikos (50%) and Konstantinos Alexandrakis (50%). After the occupation of Greece in April, 1941, she was declared as a prize and continued to be employed by the German occupational army as a tank barge. Two entries in German war diaries prove that PETROS was in use for the Wehrmacht:
„... 23.08.41 cont[inued]. Tug Wasiliki with tank barge Petros arrived with 572,2 ts für B.Z. Südost IV Tr.Ro. from Saloniki.“ [C]

In November 1944 PETROS, with Captain Spyridon Artavanis in command, was attacked in the bay of Milos by Allied aircraft and sunk without loss of life [B]. After the war, she was demolished by O.A.N. (Greek demolition committee) [A]. PETROS is listed exactly with her name and the information „position of loss Bay of Milos“ in the accurate Melissinos demolition list. [A]
